Location
Dubai South
The design for this residential
building draws inspiration from
the timeless elegance and restrained
modernism seen in David
Chipperfield’s design of the Peek
& Cloppenburg department store.
This building balances simplicity
with sophistication, making it a
fitting response to the demands
of urban living while being deeply
rooted in architectural tradition.
By merging classical proportions
with contemporary materials and
techniques, the design fosters a
sense of permanence, luxury, and
accessibility, offering residents a
harmonious living experience.
The Structural Design aims to
give a floating effect to this massive
block allowing residents to
have a visual connectivity towards
their surroundings.
Form and Massing
The building’s form is characterized
by a clear, orthogonal massing and an
unadorned facade with powerfull grid
system.
The residential mass is composed of a
simple, punctured shell that rises gracefully
above its urban context where all
the building services were located in
addition to the surfaced parking allowing
all 40 unit owners to park their cars
at the ground floor level.
The clean, geometric lines evoke a
sense of modernity while maintaining a
timeless elegance, making it a landmark
within its neighborhood.
Materiality Matters
The Building facade features a robust
combination of natural stone and glass.
The block is composed of a textured
limestone, providing an enduring, timeless
presence that connects the building
to its urban fabric.
While all the identical windows allow
residents to enjoy a maximum soft day
light due to the recesses within the thick
walls that minumizes direct sun light
towards the interior spaces.
